It is an exciting time of year for League as we prepare for our League’s annual dinner on June 13th, the County Convention on May 22nd, and the State Convention the weekend of June 1st-2nd in Albany. We are fortunate to have three excellent League representatives for the State Convention: Alisa Henderson, Peter Rosenthal, and Horty Schmierer.
Please take a moment to find in this issue of the newsletter the proposed budget and slate of officers for Southwest Nassau for 2013-2014 as well as a form to RSVP for the June 13th annual dinner. This year its cost will be $30 and it will be held at McQuades in Lynbrook; John O’Connell, Executive Editor of the Herald Community Newspapers will be our guest speaker along with Samantha (Sammi) Cohen our League’s representative for the Student in Albany Program.
