As Mother’s Day approaches, it is natural that we think about what we owe to the women who came before us. They not only demanded the right to vote but also took steps to form our organization. In creating the League, they wanted newly enfranchised voters to understand their power and have all they’d need to be well-informed voters. Almost 100 years later, the League still stands for quality and non-partisan voter service.
In honor of these women, we are asking you to make a tax -deductible gift to the League of Women Voters of New York State Education Foundation (EF) for Mother’s Day. If you make a gift of $25 or more, we will send a Mother’s Day card to your mother or another woman in your life who inspires you. Click here to make your gift before Sunday, May 1, 2016 and we will send a personalized card to the person you designate and let her know you honored her with a Mother’s Day tribute to the EF.
