LWV of Port Washington-Manhasset

People often join our PWM League because they want to educate and advocate for issues they care about  — to actively serve their local and larger communities and to our democracy by working on issues wihtout regard to partisian affiliation. For many isssues, our PWM League or the NYS League (or US League) has a policy position that allows advocacy. Other issues may require study and advocacy to gain consensus about adopting that position. 

If you would like to join a team in any of thse activities or advocacy  — or if there is an area of services or advocacy beyond what’s listed that you care about  — where you want to contribute to hte public good in a non-partisan way, the LWV PWM may well support you. please email usfor more information. Be sure to type the issue that matters to you in the subject line, with a brief message about what your interest and expertise (if any) to president@lwvofpwm.org.
