Third Congressional District Primary Candidates
League of Women Voters invited the Third Congressional District Democratic primary candidates to the Cold Spring Harbor Public Library to discuss their positions. The New York's 3rd Congressional District is a battleground district in 2016. Five Democratic candidates will compete in the race to replace Israel: Anna Kaplan, Jon Kaiman, Steven Stern, Tom Suozzi, and Jonathan Clarke.

Senate District 9 Candidate Forum Long Beach, NY 04/07/16 All candidates were invited; Todd Kaminsky(D) and Laurence (Seth) Hirsch (GRN) attended; Christopher McGrath (R) had a scheduling conflict and was unable to attend.
2018 LWVUS CONVENTION

Marion Fleming and Ruth Jones (right-co-President Central Nassau) in front of the Sustainers' Plaque that now includes Marion Fleming, a gift to Marion from Central Nassau members; the Sustainers' Plaque has honoree's names and is permanently displayed in the state office and proudly exhibited at state Conventions. The plaque reads: "In Honor of Service as a President or Board Member of the League of Women Voters of New York State, the LWVNYS Education Foundation, and/or a local League in New York State." Smaller engraved plates bear the name of each honoree with a short description of their service.
