The Age of Consequences. A film investigatating the impacts of climate change on increased resource scarcity, migration, and conflict through the lens of US national security and global stability.

Please join the discussion following the film with Patti Wood, Founder and Executive Director of Grassroots Envi-ronmental Education. Tools for critical action will be discussed and shared.

The Age of Consequences is a powerhouse film that includes Pentagon insiders who make the compelling case that if we continue with "business as usual" the consequences of climate change + extreme weather, drought, food and water shortages, global conflict, refugee crises, failed states and terrorism + will continue to increase in scale and frequency, with disastrous implications for peace and security. The film features interviews with distin-guished admirals, generals and military veterans who delve beyond the press headlines.

Health Insurance for All: The NY Health Care Act A Conversations from Main Street Event. INDIVIDUALS / BUSINESS OWNERS / HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS: WHETHER YOU CURRENTLY HAVE OR PROVIDE HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE -- OR NOT -- THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU.

New Yorkers need truly universal, publicly financed health care. We need health care that is guaranteed and paid for fairly.

If passed, the New York Health Act (A. 4738 / S. 4840) will implement truly universal health care and eliminate financial barriers to care, while allowing people to go to the doctor and hospital of their choice. Like the rest of the industrialized world, it will give New Yorkers access to health care without fear of bankruptcy. New York Health will treat health care as a human right, not a commodity for those who can afford to pay.

Health care is a human right! Let's guarantee health care for all New Yorkers by passing The New York Health Act in 2018.

Join us for a screening of the short film Fix It: Healthcare at the Tipping Point, followed by a panel and audience discussion of the issues that face us in guaranteeing health care for all.

Co-presented with the League of Women Voters.

Free admission to all Conversations from Main Street programs is made possible by a grant from the Angela & Scott Jaggar Foundation.
